At Dogs 'n Cats Oh My In-Home Grooming, my mission is to provide

safe, compassionate, and personalized in-home grooming experiences for every pet. 

Please take a moment to review and sign below to ensure a smooth and safe experience for both you and your pet.

1. Veterinary Disclaimer

I am not a licensed veterinarian and cannot legally diagnose, treat, or provide any form of medical advice. If I observe anything concerning during a grooming session, I will let you know and recommend that you seek veterinary care. For your pet’s health and safety, all medical concerns must be addressed by a licensed veterinary professional.

2. Safety Policy 

To provide the highest level of care for your pet we have a safety policy. 

If at any time your pet gets nervous, anxious, scared, aggressive, or even overly silly, we slow down and help your pet to be comfortable and calm. It's very important to us that the pets in our care are kept safe and stress free. We use sharp tools and need to prevent injuries.

We will work with your pet to help them feel comfortable. This will build a great experience for successful grooming sessions for your pet's lifetime. 

Your pet may not be groomed to perfection the day of your appointment. We will charge for the time that we spend working with your pet.

3. Matting Policy 

At Dogs 'n Cats Oh My!, your pet’s safety and comfort is my top priority. 

Matting is a serious condition that can lead to pain, restricted movement, skin irritation, and hidden infections. If matting is identified during your pet’s grooming appointment, the groomer will follow these strict guidelines to ensure the safety of both parties.

If matting is present:

• The groomer will assess the severity and location of the matting and clearly communicate this to the client. A discussion will follow regarding the safest and most humane options for removal.

  • This may include client assistance during the appointment and clarification on the expected outcome (e.g., spot shaving, full body shave, or partial trims).

• Once the client understands the recommended approach and grooming limitations, the groomer will begin the de-matting/shaving process. 

• Additional charges will be added due to the extra time and care required to safely remove the matting as well as the wear and tear matting puts on my tools.

I will never attempt to de-mat a pet if it causes excessive stress or poses a health risk. In such cases, grooming may be altered or discontinued at the groomer’s discretion, and you will be informed immediately.

4. House Call and Missed Appointment Fee

The House Call Fee reflects the time and care involved in providing a high-quality, in-home grooming experience. This fee covers:

• Travel time to your home

• Initial consultation to discuss the day’s grooming services and your pet’s individual needs

• Time to address any medical or behavioral concerns that arise during the appointment

• Set-up of grooming supplies and workspace within your home

• Breakdown and cleanup of the grooming area. This ensures your space is left clean, tidy, and free of fur or dander

I take pride in maintaining a professional and respectful presence in your home, leaving the space just as I found it!

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours of notice. If cancellation occurs with less than 48 hours of notice, you will be charged a $50 Missed Appointment Fee. This ensures fairness and respects the time I set aside for you and your pet.

Repeat no-shows or continued last-minute cancellations may result in refusal of future bookings.

5. Training Fee Policy

At Dogs 'n Cats Oh My!, I don’t charge extra for “special handling.” Instead, I offer focused, one-on-one training during grooming sessions to help your pet become more calm, comfortable, and cooperative on the grooming table.

Grooming is an essential part of your pet’s care and it is the job of the owner and the pet professional to work together to set your pet up for success. This isn’t just about one grooming session, this is about setting your pet up for a lifetime’s worth of successful grooming sessions.

Depending on your pet’s behavior, they may not be groomed to perfection on the day of your appointment. However, I will clearly communicate to you where your pet is having trouble and how we can work on this together.

This training may include desensitization to grooming tools, treat-based training, or clicker work. Pet’s are individuals, therefore, each session is tailored to your pet’s unique behavior and comfort level.

My goal is to help your pet become the best version of themselves during grooming. Thus, making the process safer, less stressful, and more enjoyable for both of us. The training fee reflects the time, patience, and professional knowledge required to guide pets through behavioral challenges with care and consistency.

6. Services Offered and Pricing 

I provide professional Dog and Cat Grooming Services, tailored to meet the needs of each pet. A complete list of services, detailed descriptions, and current pricing can be viewed on my website at any time.

Please note that pricing may vary based on Pet Size, Coat Condition, Temperament, Additional Handling Requirements, or Specialty Services Requested. Any adjustments will be discussed prior to beginning services.

I only accept CASH or ZELLE as forms of payment. 

Payment is always due at the time services are completed.

7. Change in Price Policy 

As a small business owner and dedicated animal care provider, I reserve the right to adjust my prices when necessary to maintain the quality of my services and support the sustainability of my business.

In the event that a price increase becomes necessary, clients will receive at least a one month's notice prior to any changes taking effect.

There will be no surprise charges—transparency is a priority. I am committed to being upfront about all costs before services are provided, ensuring that you always know what to expect when entrusting me with the care of your pet.
